Introducing the WRAM 2019 Lab Series

Saturday, August 17
10am-1pm – $15

Lab #1: Designed for beginners
Location: McGrath Lab at Tufts
“Medicine makes sense…but you need to have a plan!”
We will cover initial triage and developing a treatment plan for common wildlife cases. We will then practice by going through case scenarios with the students.

Saturday, September 28
10am-1pm – $15

Lab #2: Medium level course
Location: McGrath Lab at Tufts
“It’s all about the calories and keeping hydrated!”
We will discuss proper nutrition for orphaned, ill and injured wildlife as well as designing diets for them. Finally, we will have a practical lab so students can practice tube feeding patients and administering SQ fluids.

Saturday, October 26
10am-1pm – $15

Lab#3: Advanced level course
Location: Wood Conference Room, Tufts Wildlife Clinic building
“How to identify creepy crawlies in and on your patients & how to kill them!”
We will discuss common parasites found in wildlife, how to identify and diagnose a parasite related problem as well as how to successfully treat them. We will cover treatment regimens to include common misconceptions and problems when treating parasites.

Time: all labs are 10am-1pm
Registration fee:
$15.00 per lab, $45.00 for all three. NO refunds available. Please only register for the labs if you definitely plan to attend as space is limited and we want to operate at full capacity.
